Small Group Ministry

Purpose: The Small Group Ministry encourages all church members to actively participate in the Biblical model of fellowship through Small Group and to live out God’s purposes.  These groups provide the foundation and support necessary for healthy Christian living and maturity as modeled by Christ.

Description of ministry activities: Small Group Leaders/Facilitators act as the leader for the group providing a safe environment for discussions, regular prayer covering, and support.  And is often the first point of contact and communication between group members and church leadership.  The Leader/Facilitator oversees the coordination of the group meetings designating among the members any necessary responsibilities such as but not limited to:  Prayer, Worship, Meal/Snack, Schedule, and Outreach Project Coordination.

Current opportunities to serve

– Small-Group Leader/Facilitators – Members of CELEBRATION CHURCH at Monroe Street or in the membership training process

– Small-Group Membership – Open to Everyone

Length of Ministry Commitment
The commitment to leading a Small Group is very important and should be entered into after a season of prayer.  It requires a person who is willing to “walk” with both mature and developing Christians to help them take their next step toward Christian Maturity.

Commitment varies from 6 weeks to on-going based on the type of group

Meeting dates and times determined by the group

Time of Ministry Commitment:  Usually two hours per week
